Thank you for visiting my website and blog! I pray it helps you.
I created this site for a variety of reasons.
The first reason:
Make a difference in education. More than likely you are an educator to some degree. One of the biggest topics thrown at us educators is “make a difference”. It is my personal goal to shed light on topics that us educators face. Some are discussed regularly while others are shuffled to the back because, well we have face to keep.
The second reason:
Make a difference in education. As an educator you have your own stories. Well, these stories are simply funny. In an every-changing world we all need a laugh and a way to identify with one another and the hills we rise above daily. It is my hope that some of these funny as well as serious stories resonate within your soul.
The third reason:
Make a difference in education. This reason is personal. Allow me to actually introduce myself. First of all I want to stay anonymous for as long as possible. I do not want any stories to affect others, because some people are super sensitive. Did I say some people are super sensitive. My story began as an elementary student myself. I was not a stronger reader, I mutilated texts. It’s funny to think about it now, but as a little boy I was mortified at round-robin reading in front of peers. Why didn’t someone tell my teachers “do not do round-robin reading?” My life would have been better :). I attended title classes to help improve my reading skills. Flashforward I chose to become a male elementary teacher. I have taught in a variety of classroom settings including kindergarten and third grade. So I am going to say if you are a kindergarten teacher, bless you! Now, I am an administrator in an elementary school. Who would have guessed a title student would be the one observing teachers to ensure they are implementing strategies correctly and seeking out best practices for them. The irony is not lost! I am writing to take my DOK to level IV. I am writing to prove strugglers can succeed, and do with the correct support system. However, if I have grammar and spelling mistakes I will blame it on my title experience, that’s a joke, but seriously I was a title student.
The fourth reason:
Make a difference in education. Writing is therapeutic at best. Reflecting is an important characteristic to possess to help individuals improve. It also allows me personally to get out those raw emotions in a positive manner and not be passive aggressive. Who wants a passive aggressive administrator?
